Cancellation and Refund Terms
More than 14 Days Before Trek Date
- Refund Amount: 90% of total payment
- Deduction: 10% administrative fee covering payment processing costs, booking commissions, and operational expenses
- Processing: Refund will be processed within 7 business days
7-14 Days Before Trek Date
- Refund Amount: 50% of total payment
- Deduction: 50% covers advance arrangements, guide bookings, and operational commitments
- Processing: Refund will be processed within 7 business days
Less than 7 Days Before Trek Date
- No Refund Available: Due to confirmed arrangements with local guides, transportation, accommodation bookings, and other logistical commitments that cannot be canceled without penalty
Special Circumstances
Weather-Related Cancellations
If Lanka Trek cancels a trek due to unsafe weather conditions or natural disasters, clients will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule at no additional cost.
Force Majeure
In cases of government restrictions, political unrest, or other circumstances beyond our control, we will work with clients to reschedule or provide appropriate compensation.
Refund Processing
- Timeline: All approved refunds will be processed within 7 business days of receiving your cancellation request
- Method: Refunds will be credited to the original payment method used for booking
- Bank Processing: Please allow additional 3-7 business days for the refund to appear in your account, depending on your bank or payment provider
